Hello, we are Sara and Trevor.

We know that there is a lot of unknown in your life right now. We are thankful that you are considering adoption and an option. We are so grateful that you are considering us to be a part of your life and your child's life. 

Our story as a couple began online in 2010.

After exchanging messages for a few weeks, we met in person for our first official date at a Mexican restaurant. (We both love Mexican food!)

Trevor was immediately interested in Sara because of our common interests and similar core values. (And he thought she was really pretty and had an amazing personality.)

Sara was a little cautious and wanted to take things slow. She knew even before they started communicating that Trevor could be "the one" and since he was "super cute" she wanted to make sure that the relationship was based on a real connection, not just the obvious things.

Despite that, we kept dating and enjoying our time together.

A few weeks later, we unexpectedly stood in for friends at an Indianapolis half-marathon fundraiser.

Trevor had previously competed in half-marathons, but this was Sara's first. She thought the daily walking she did as well as on the weekends would be enough to prepare her for this event.

She was very wrong. At mile marker 11 (of 13.1 miles), Sara's legs began to lock up. Trevor scooped her onto his back, and we piggybacked two miles so we could finish the race together.

It was then that Sara knew Trevor was the right person for her and she should stop fighting a good thing.

From there things moved quickly- we were engaged four months later and married that following year, in 2011- almost a year to the day from that race.

For several years, we tried to conceive a child on our own and with medical help with no success. We chose to move forward with parenthood because we knew that God had bigger plans for us and our lives with children. As an adoptee, Sara has experienced the beauty of adoption firsthand, and we are so excited to welcome a child into our home through adoption!
